STM32Cube for Agentic AI installer¶
Purpose and scope¶
The STM32Cube for Agentic AI installer downloads and deploys STM32Cube Agentic
Context bundles. It provides the cube agentic-ai command.
Context bundles follow the cube-agentic-ai-<connector> naming
pattern, and the portable project layout uses the .cube-ai/ folder.
The installer is not a technical context and does not answer STM32 technical questions. It deploys the required project-housekeeping skill, which manages the contexts and services available in a project and can identify a relevant missing context. Technical task routing remains a separate capability.
Download and deploy¶
Download places STM32Cube Agentic Context bundles on the machine. Cube installs dependencies declared by each bundle. Additional prerequisites, such as the STM32CubeMX2 application or a VS Code extension, may need to be installed separately and are listed on the relevant context page.
Deploy makes the selected context capabilities available in a project folder. The AI coding agent can then use those capabilities when they match a task. The installer supports GitHub Copilot, Claude Code and Cursor, in an editor or in a terminal. See Supported IDEs and AI coding agents for the supported combinations and the options to select them.
Assets and capabilities¶
Each STM32Cube Agentic Context describes its capabilities and scope. The installer deploys the selected context files and tracks them for updates and removal.
The installer is delivered in the cube-agentic-ai-installer bundle. It
uses STM32CubeCLI to download bundles and deploy selected capabilities to
project folders.
For the difference between general Cube CLI guidance and project housekeeping, see Cube CLI wrapper and project housekeeping.
For installation procedure, see the installation guide.
For command details, see the installer user manual.
Note
The installer also embeds its user manual in Markdown format. An AI Coding Agent can read this manual to understand how to use the installer on behalf of the user.
