How to manage packs in Pack Manager

This section describes how to manage packs in the Pack Manager of STM32CubeMX2.

1. Open the Pack Manager panel

  • Open the STM32CubeMX2 application.

  • On the left sidebar, click Pack Manager to open the Pack Manager panel.

  • The Pack Manager panel displays a list of available packs for projects, including installed and uninstalled packs.

  • The Pack Manager panel also displays detailed information for each pack version, including the compatibility status with the current STM32CubeMX2 version.

2. View license information

  • Click View License Terms to open the license information for all packs available on the server before download.

  • For downloaded packs, use View License in the dedicated menu to open the license information.

3. Install a local pack or package

  • In the Pack Manager panel, click From Local to open the local installation dialog.

  • In the local installation dialog, browse to and select the required CMSIS-Pack .pack file or STM32 microcontroller (MCU) package from local storage.

    • An STM32 MCU package archive .zip must be generated with STM32 Package Creator.

    • An STM32 MCU package folder must be generated with STM32 Package Creator and unzipped.

  • Click Install to install the selected pack or package that contains several packs.
