  • Security fixes

  • Improved the project format naming to better identify targeted IDE

  • Improved robustness during project creation and opening, with earlier error detection and clearer notifications for Peripherals, NVIC, and EXTI

  • Improved robustness against missing or corrupted packs and resources, with initial error inventory coverage in DMA, Clock, EXTI, NVIC, and Project Creation

  • Added progress feedback during project creation/opening, with the ability to cancel ongoing creation/opening operations

  • Improved overall user experience across Parts, Middleware, Pack Manager, Software Configuration, and Peripherals, including responsive design improvements

  • Added peripheral search and filtering, and text search in most configuration views

  • Added direct navigation from used EXTI lines to their corresponding configuration

  • Improved management of configurable parts composing a module, with more granular selection and control

  • Added middleware user experience enhancements and middleware version selection

  • Added pin label visibility from configuration views and restored board pinout constraints

  • Added support to install packs from an EmbSW package

  • Added one-step pack and dependency update

  • Added support for project update to newer compatible pack versions with breaking changes

  • Added access to installed pack license terms directly from disk

  • Added portable installation support

  • Added build profile selection in GUI (Debug/Release/Both)

  • Added STM32CubeMX2 Project Export support for raw format (without IDE project format)

  • Added user preferences management through command-line interface (CLI), and improved user preferences maintainability

  • Added spread-spectrum clock support for supported STM32 devices

  • Improved overall performance and robustness

  • Introduced usage data collection for product selection analytics

  • Customer-reported fixed issues:

    • Command-line interface (CLI) does not generate the build preset in CMake even though the project is generated successfully

    • FDCAN1 RX GPIO configuration not loading after peripheral configuration changes

    • Enhanced user experience related to pack update for already existing project

    • Missing validation for ADC clock frequencies above 36 MHz on STM32C5 devices

    • Improved access to EWARM patches in generated IAR projects

  • Other major fixed issues:

    • NMI IRQ line retrieval in the FLASH panel didn’t work anymore

    • Missing Timer selection option in HAL Time Base for projects created with earlier C5 packs

    • Incorrect red highlighting of DMA code in Code Preview after a second change

    • Dynamic mode for Code Preview not functional anymore

1.1.2

Security fixes

1.1.1

Minor release (Bug fix)

1.1.0

Main changes:

  • Enhanced installation support for multiple STM32CubeMX2 versions, including linked IOC2 files and a pinned icon on the Windows taskbar

  • Added Expand All and Collapse All functions in software configuration panels

  • Added confirmation dialog boxes for selected actions

  • Introduced anonymized data collection for statistic analysis purpose

  • Added options to export the pinout as CSV from a menu: without alternate functions or with alternate functions

  • Added pin labels that can be used from configuration panels

  • Improved command-line interface (CLI) capabilities for software configuration

  • Added a pack version compatibility check

  • Added end-user guidance to run Pack update steps in the correct order, with a focus on device family pack (DFP) and hardware abstraction layer (HAL) packs

  • Increased pin name visibility in the pinout view to improve readability

  • Added the possibility to view all parts that compose a module allowing the end user to enable individual selection and more granular management

  • Improved consistency between clock tree source selection and reset and clock control (RCC) configuration

  • Improved overall performance and robustness

  • Customer-reported fixed issues:

    • Failure to uninstall STM32CubeMX 1.0.0, especially when the user path contains a space

    • Diff collisions are handled poorly when exporting a project through the command-line interface (CLI)

    • User interface (UI) elements resized incorrectly and overlapped when the window was resized

    • Scrolling the mouse wheel while editing the frequency in the clock tree caused the editing window to overlap the clock tree components

    • Resolved the issue where users were unexpectedly required to use administrator rights for installation or uninstallation, although administrator mode is not supported

  • Other major fixed issues:

    • I²C configuration showed no error when a node was unavailable

    • Errors were not visible in the Peripherals tab when interrupt errors occurred

    • Mounted parts were not visible when creating a project and then another project on the same MCU

1.0.1

Patch release

  • Enables users to install multiple versions of STM32CubeMX2 side by side on the same PC.

  • Adds a graphical uninstaller for easier removal.

  • Prevents certain user files from being overwritten during Project Export.

  • Fixes the “Pack Update” feature for new packs with minor changes, which previously did not work correctly.
