HW Parts

In the HW Parts view, users can perform the following actions:

  • Filter (1a): Search for a specific HW part by name, category, or status (active or inactive).

  • Section Mounted Parts (1b): Display one section per board in the selected project. Each section shows the mounted parts on the specific board. If only the MCU is present, only the standalone part section is displayed.

  • Section Standalone Parts (1c): Display one section showing standalone parts that users can add to a custom board.

  • Add part (2): Select one or more standalone parts and add them to a custom board.

  • Sort (3): Sort the list of parts in ascending or descending alphabetical order.

  • Activate/Deactivate part (4): Activate or deactivate the selected HW part. Create or delete a configuration for the selected HW part. When a part is activated, its configuration panel is displayed, and a check mark icon appears next to the part name in the left panel.

  • Remove from list (5): Remove a standalone part from the list. This feature is only available for standalone parts. A part cannot be removed if it is activated. Mounted parts cannot be removed.

  • Reset configuration (6): Reset configuration settings to default values.

  • Toggle the detail view (7): Display or hide the detail view panel.

  • Toggle the code preview (8): Display or hide the code preview panel.

  • Toggle the quick menu (9): Display or hide the quick menu panel.

  • Access STM32Cube documentation (10): Open the STM32Cube documentation.

  • The Errors and Warnings icons (E) allow users to highlight errors and warnings related to the selected HW part.
